The new timber service platform is complete apart from Tactiles yet to be fitted. Work has commenced on the ramp section that links the new service platform and the low level - heritage platform. The structure is impressive containing over 15 tonnes of timber and 2000 bolts and coach screws. The NER design of 1909 has been followed with detail modifications to meet current rail standards. This is an affordable construction method costing around £8k per coach length, having a service life of at least 40 years- at which point the decking may need renewal. (16/08/2016)

Not me..! This is the state we found the gate at MHF 1 near Wensley Station during Leyburn's work party on 05-09-16. Despite some new wood which I presume the horses owner put up, the horse on the right (suspect) has been rubbing his rear end and broke it at a knot along with the rest of the gate. The gate was repaired enough to hopefully last a while till a new steel gate can be sourced. Well after a revisit on the next work party on 19-09-16 the gate is broken again so clearly a very destructive horse..! Alas this time no tools or wood with me to fix it this time..! (16/09/2016)
