A photo showing the LNWR oil lamp from Conwy North Wales. It was donated to the railway in derelict state. Bill Simmon has patiently restored it to its former glory where it can now been seen on open days at Scruton Station.
Bill previously restored a North Eastern Railway lamp from Moulton Station on the former Richmond Branch. This can be seen illuminating the passage to the outside Gentlemen's convenience.
When not restoring lamps he is the DWT expert on rainwear and is currently busy with guttering on the wash house at Scruton. (18/01/2017)Click here to see higher resolution photo
