Whilst there was a half road closure at Bedale crossing to allow the footpath to be tarmaced, the Infrastruction team took advantage to sort out gaps in the road centre panels. After much fighting with awkward rubber inserts they managed to lift the panels to investigate the reason behind them not closing up. It would seem that a combination of the sleeper spacing being out by some 15mm and the 401 style of pandrol clip being used instead of the slightly smaller e clip. Many hours later they got the job finished and the road was reopened. (04/09/2019)
