Railway Housing Association's

100th Anniversary Afternoon Tea Train

The Railway Housing Association treated 100 of its residents to an afternoon tea experience on board carriages pulled by the Tornado on the Wensleydale Railway. This was the signature event of the Association’s year-long centenary celebrations and it was made possible thanks to the generous support of Darlington Building Society. Among those traveling was resident John Baker, from Newcastle, who originally came up with the idea of doing something related to the railway for the signature event. Another passenger was Margaret Turner, from Stockton, who like the Railway Housing Association, celebrates her 100th birthday this year.
