We had a good show at the Harrogate Model Railway Exhibition at the beginning of March, this will be our last show for the model show stall till August.
We were still getting praise for the Polar Express and asked if we were doing it again. At the time I said yes, just keep checking the website.
With what is going on, the stall has lost 4 shows till end of June.

Race the Train Event at Leyburn Station - Into each life some rain must fall.
Disaster! The day before the race the wind got up and the marquee that was to accommodate the race registration decided to do a triple axel; damaging it beyond repair! Plan B. A new tent was sourced and at the eleventh hour erected. (07/03/2020)Click here to see higher resolution photo

John Tong saw this Plews Brewer Beer Bottle at a recent U3A talk by Altogether Archaeology. This is of interest to the railway as the brewery was situated opposite to Leeming Bar station and used the railway for distribution. The brewery closed in 1925. It is hoped that at some point in the future we may be able to display the bottle in a small museum at Leeming Bar. (01/06/2018)

The field run off seen in the distance deposited a lot of debris on the line at Akebar (for the second time this winter). The drainage channel was widened and a stone wall built to try and ensure the water keeps to the drainage channel instead of flowing over the track. (02/03/2020)
