Photographs

Due to the Coronavirus epidemic the railway has been closed, however over the last month much volunteer work has been carried out. The contractor who was restoring Leeming Bar station house has completed their work funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The internal decoration is now in progress. There are a few photos of the decoration here.
This month we have:-
1. Decoration of Leeming Bar Station House is under way. For more photos showing the decoration, see the dedicated decoration page.
2. Repair/refurbishment of coaches for Polar Express.
3. Some S&T work at Aiskew Level Crossing.
4. Some work by the Bedale Station Support Group.
5. The Vegetation Team clear a fallen tree on the line.
6. The Vegetation clear part of the former Oil Dock at Bedale. They will be installing a storage container there.
7. A view from the line.
There is also a dedicated photo gallery that shows more photos of the progress of the decoration here

We might still be closed but work continues behind the scenes and today the S&T department have been working on Aiskew Crossing. New cables have had to be pulled under the road due to an old one having a fault. This is probably the first time since 1985 that the troughs and under road ducts have been exposed to daylight.
