There are too many photos this month, so they are split over two photo galleries.
On this page we have:-
1. The last of the concrete sleepers and rails are retrieved from Eggborough Power Station to the Wensleydale Railway
2. The works train has been out moving the rails to where they will be needed for the relay near Redmire
3. The Infrastructure team have done a small relay over a bridge at Newton le Willows
4. The Direct Works Team have done some culvert repairs
5. The Direct Works Team have rebuilt part of Finghall station platfor edge
6. The Vegetation Team have been busy again this month

The concrete sleepers from Eggborough are being stored at Redmire. That is the 500 mark reached, only another 2000 more to come. Our infrastructure team will certainly be kept busy for a while! (02/08/2021)

The shark guards van of the works train at Redmire. This is used for spreading ballast after it has been dumped onto the track by the hopper wagons. Note the plough underneath which can be raised and lowered as required. It was taken by one of our young volunteers. (11/08/2021)

On the 25TH anniversary of the 1st work party on 17-08-96 work carries on moving the last of the Eggborough Power Station deliveries. The point sections are been moved to rear of the available land behind the other sleepers already on site. (16/08/2021)

During August the vegetation team have been pulling out large quantities of Himalayan Balsam weeds before the seeds burst out. Here the weeds lie in piles ready to collect, in this image west of Bedale. (25/08/2021)

The vegetation team gathering up Himalayan Balsam for disposal. This non native plant was introduced in 1839 but soon escaped. It spreads easily, stops other plants from growing and can reach ten feet tall. (25/08/2021)
