During January both the Vegetation and Infrastructure teams were very busy working on the line.

This is it: the end of the branch. Immediately behind the stop board is the beck which carried away a bridge some years ago. The trackbed carries on beyond; once you could continue upwards to Garsdale. (12/01/2022)

The restoration of the 0-6-0 steam tank loco is progressing. The cab is now in place. One of the next tasks is to weld in new metalwork at the bottom of the back of the cab. If yhou look closely one can see a big gap here where the metal has rusted away (01/02/2022)

Blocked culvert,light (just) at the end of the tunnel. After some digging and attacking with a bar a path was cleared so that the water could drain and we could see what we were up against.

A problematic cross drain from the Duck Pond at Constable Burton shows a pipe dug out. The pipe top was broken in many places and along with previous repair attempts of laying bits of pipe over the top caused a blockage. No amount of rodding was going to be successful. (28/01/2022)
