During June lots of work has been going on on the railway. This month we have:
1. Various trains including the special Jazz train on the line
2. New Lighting and other changes at Bedale Station
3. Pacers etc. at Leeming Bar
4. A clock which was presented to Tom Walls, a former Station Master at Aysgarth
5. Various photos from Leyburn
6. Various work at Finghall Lane
7. A recent 'Make Do and Mend' session at Finghall Station
8. Restoration of a Mk2 coach in readiness for Polar Express
9. The continued restoration of a railway crane
10. The continued restoration of a Wickham Trolley
11. One of our 'new' Mk1 coaches having some work done to a bogie
12. Our infrastructure Team and a works train have been busy
13. Various work by our busy Vegetation Team

As the sun begins to climb there's another hot day in store as this early morning WR train makes its way over Scroggs 2 to Leyburn. As soon as it's passed the vegetation team will set about reducing the tall grass on each side to improve visibility. (14/06/2023)

Having come down at the head of the 0930 Leeming Bar-Leyburn the class 142 Pacer has uncoupled and is carrying on westward into the currently closed section of line towards Redmire.
On board are members of the Vegetation Team whose task is to cut down overhanging branches to allow trains to safely run to Redmire for a filming assignment later in the year. (14/06/2023)

As part of the reorganisation of Bedale station, the secondhand books have been moved into the cafe area. It is hoped to expand this in the future. Donations of books are always welcome - especially railway books. (22/06/2023)

As part of the reorganisation of Bedale station, the double doors from the cafe into the waiting room are now able to be opened to form larger space and allow easy access between the two areas. (22/06/2023)

A fence has been erected to keep the Leeming Bar yard area separate from the public area of the station. A smart bench has also been placed here. The small brick building is now the volunteers mess room (used to be the goods office) (13/06/2023)
