We spoke to the Yorkshire Water team working nearby to make sure we wouldn't hit it. The new fence follows the curving boundary line of the original fence. 'Road to nowhere'. Snoozing in the afternoon sun this rump of track is the end of the line at Redmire, where once a bridge crossed the beck behind the buffers and where trains once continued past Castle Bolton and beyond. Sadly the bridge was washed away some years ago. (27/07/2023)
