During February lots of work has been going on on the railway by our Engineering Maintenance, Vegetation and Infrastructure teams. This month we have:

Fencing Team - New posts installed just east of Leeming Bar level crossing ready for the panels to be refixed. The old posts, which were rotten at the base, were reused at Akebar crossing later in the month where a lower height fence was needed. (03/02/2025)

Fencing Team - Newton Grange User Works Crossing just west of Crakehall level crossing - A track patroller had reported that the gate wouldn't close as the gate post was rotten. New gate posts installed and gate position adjusted to improve visibility/safety. (10/02/2025)
