During March lots of work has been going on on the railway by our Engineering Maintenance, Vegetation and Infrastructure teams. This month we have:
1. Locos and trains on the line.
2. Old and recent photos of Pacer 142018.
3. Work being carried out on a recently arrived SPA wagon on our line.
4. Further restoration work on a 0-6-0 steam tank loco.
5. Loco 47714 undergoing bodywork repairs in the maintenance workshop.
6. Further work being carried out installing a restored lever frame at Scruton.
7. The Direct Works Team carrying out various tasks at Scruton.
8. The replastering of Scruton station ticket office.

During March the vegetation team commenced a lengthy unpleasant exercise which will run in to April, clearing out this blackthorn and bramble west of Finghall so that sunlight can reach and dry the track before a new drain is dug out on the left cess. Here looking west. (12/03/2025)
