This was the sight confronting those of the veg team who were able to descend to the bottom of one of the steepest embankments on our line - a blocked gully at Spruce Ghyll. Getting this huge log out of the water and cut up was no easy task. It left a dam of leaves and debris. (07/05/2025)

An after picture showing the cleared gully at Spruce Ghyll. Finding this Victorian stonework was something of a surprise because it was only visible to those who could reach the bottom of the seep embankment. The tunnel was in very good condition and strikingly long. (07/05/2025)

Could you help to sort this out? Then why not join us in the vegetation team. If it grows and it's dead, it needs trimming or it needs to come out, we remove it. (07/05/2025)
