Scruton Level Crossing Gate Installation

The new level crossing gates were installed at Scruton level crossing on April 21st 2015 just in time for the Heritage Award inspections. Below is a photographic record of that work

At the National Heritage Railway Awards in London on 7th December 2016, the railway achieved the award of highly commended for the new Scruton Crossing Gates.
The photo shows the presentation - Tug Lee and Peter Chapman who are receiving the Stagecoach Volunteers Award for the construction of the crossing gates at Scruton. The gates were built and installed by volunteers of the Direct Works Team. (07/12/2016)Click here to see higher resolution photo
