Harmby Track Relay
(January to March 2022)
From late January through to early March 2022, our Infrastructure Teams relaid about half a mile of track through the cutting at Harmby, a notoriously wet part of the line near to Leyburn with the flat bottomed rail and concrete sleepers that we got from Eggborough Power Station last year.

Harmby Cutting. How to dishearten the Leyburn Pway team who spent most of last summer replacing sleepers, oiling fishplates etc to get this track compliant so trains could run again to Leyburn. Someone has now decided this section is to be relaid.
All that effort wasted. (25/01/2022)Click here to see higher resolution photo
