Leyburn Shawl (Wensley) Track Slew
As part of the 'Return to Redmire' project, the track-bed below Leyburn shawl near Wensley was suffering erosion leading to insufficient ballast support for the track along the embankment edge for around 3/4 mile. The track needs to be moved further away from the edge, using the area that was previously a quarry siding.

Leyburn Shawl Track Slew - The slew site is on a mixture of wood and concrete sleepers so the worn out woods have to be replaced with good used sleepers. The RRV does the hard by removing and replacing the wood sleepers where required. WR Volunteers screwing replacement sleepers down. (12/09/2024)
