David Payne has supplied a photo of the Wedding of his Great Aunt, Ruth Carter, to Harold Gaythorpe in April 1924. The photo was taken outside of the cottage of his Great Grandfather, George Carter, in Newton le Willows in 1924 which shows Jervaulx Station in the background. Harold Gaythorpe was a signalman at Bedale and he features prominently in the Wensleydale Railway book, along with his Son, Alan, who was an Engine Driver on the line. (--/04/1924)

He occupied the cottage and extension on the left of the photo and I think a family called Rainbow lived in the cottage on the right. The cottages are now part of a larger house on the same site.
