Leeming Bar Station House Restoration
2020
In 2019 we were awarded a grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore Leeming Bar Station House. This work started in March 2020, and fortunately despite the Coronavirus epidemic, the contractor was able to continue work. Here are some photos showing the progress of the restoration. Extra work has been found to be needed as many of the floor joists were rotten. However by mid of July, the contractor's restoration work was complete. This page shows the restoration work.
The railway's volunteers are now in the process of decorating and finishing of the Station House. Photos of this work can be seen here
