Pristine fencing and solid as a rock, these new handrails and posts will be good for years to come at White Cross Bridge. Reasonable January weather from mid month onwards enabled the veg team to make good progress this month. (11/01/2023)

It's not yet 10am on a frosty January morning but already the new fence posts have been firmly banged in and are sitting true, next to the bridge. (18/01/2023)

On a chilly day at White Cross Bridge the veg team have found the only sunny spot away from the shade for lunch. Who knows what the average age of the team is; lets just say that it isn't always as easy to get up afterwards as it is to sit down. (18/01/2023)

Almost done. In this end of day picture, there's just the posts to level off on next time's visit; sometimes you just run out of daylight. The bottom rail in the foreground had to sit slightly higher due to the tarmac ground level. (18/01/2023)

Not quite all my own work. But there's a satisfaction in being a volunteer when you can see the difference you've helped to make. I think I'll admire this fencing job every time I travel by on the A684. (18/01/2023)

Lunch time for the veg team at White Cross Bridge. The baked potatoes will have been in the bonfire and the nine in the picture plus the one with the camera will have already combined 30 hours volunteering between them. If you can't get a seat on the trolley a rail will do. (25/01/2023)
